Religious intolerance

I have nothing against Hindu, Catholicism, the Vatican, Islam, etc. what I have a problem with is the notion that Ctulure A is conquered and culture B has to use politics and religion to erase the language, mathematics, science, engineering, and technology of the previous culture or cultures.

I have dedicated my life to rebuilding that which about 15 dominant cultures did everything they could to erase what ancient cultures mastered.

The reason I wanted to do this is for the following reasons.

There is no reason to “cut ones cultural and technological nose off, just to spit ones face” by erasing or deleting a previous cultures technology. Their technology is not a threat to you.

Erasing their technology creates a gap you and your culture will never be able to fill until you spend more time and effort to rebuild what was destroyed. Reinventing the wheel is so difficult; when leaving the wheel and seeing if the wheel can be improved on is such a better use of resources.

But most domineering cultures destroying is so much more fun.

When it is time to pay the piper for violent actions, everything which has a beginning has an end. Just because a dominant culture can have their minute in the sun. Where they feel powerful, dominant, and can bask in the glory of victory. The not destroyed culture will have the last laugh.

The technology which was destroyed will have to be recreated or the conquest culture will be destroyed itself by someone not wanting to destroy technology.

The Spartan were the best fighters on the battlefield till someone figured out a better way to fight. Instead of keeping up with the latest battle techniques and technology the Spartans choose to stick with what worked last century.

The only way a culture can stay on top is to step on the cutting edge of technology.

Which means eventually a culture is going to have to spend the resources to go back and find those ancient cultures, dig up the remains of their culture, reassemble as much of the culture as possible, rebuild the language, etc.

All that rebuilding will then allow for the modern culture to start to get a gasp as to what environment the long forgotten cultures technology might have been.

The technology is buried beneath the remains of the language and ruined buildings. The language contains elements of the mathematics. The mathematics combined with the language and the philosophy of the culture is the framework the science existed within.

That entire journey the violent actions of at least 4 layers of conquered cultures has be to be combed back through. Some of those cultures and religions are still around and not interested in discussing violent actions they did in the past.

Even less interested in playing for the misdeeds of their ancestors. They like paying as long as they can brag about it, but the negative aspects are not wanted.
