Welling Mathematics Languages UK

The United Kingdom has had so many different languages it is hard to categorize them. One of the hardest aspects to determine is not what languages is dominant, but what language is dominant in exactly what context.

Gaelic for several hundred years in Ireland, Scotland, and Wales was outright banned. But the government could not prevent the language from being taught at home. For example from a grandparent to a grandchild or great grandchild. Thus when the laws banning Gaelic in each respective area were undone; the languages were alive and well in the smaller communities outside the large cities. Alive and well but by only a very small portion of the population.

Then there is the obvious difference between the English and the British culture.
