Hidden technology Throughout time, various cultures have had issues with
other cultures. The list of issues is complicated, but
suffice to say many cultures have been attacked and their technology
as close to destroyed as possible has occurred; reference every single city
which has been burned to the ground by a conqueror. It is possible to remove
large sections of a conquered cultures technology, but if the conquered
culture existed for a very long time with an influence far and wide;
reference the Taliban versus Buddhism, the Vatican versus European
Polytheistic, reference Catholic priests versus Native American shaman.
Removing most traces of their technology becomes impossible. Consequentially
reassembling ancient technology becomes a task of detective skills used to
reassembling a crime scene. The crime scene would be the murder, attack,
burning to the ground a house/building/town/city. Many ancient cultures had very advanced technology;
reference Stonehenge, NewGrange, The Palace at
Knossos, The Ziggurat in the city of Babylon. The
Northern Europeans pre-Roman invasions for instance had a calendar, when
fixed, is so accurate it puts the Gregorian calendar to shame reference
Nordic Germanic runic/Elder Futhark half month calendar. The Cycladic Culture of the Aegean built Knossos. Knossos
is a technical marvel. |
